Singing songs and getting migranes

Mar 27, 2006 13:54

So La Boheme was on Saturday and it was fantastic! Well, what I saw of it. I had a genius idea to have mimosa on an empty stomach and by the end of the first act I had a migraine.
Yes, I had a migrane at the opera.
Life is cruel.
I felt like jumping from my lower gallery seat and just ending it all, but I really wanted to see it. It's RENT, but in Italian and not so much like RENT after the first act, but you know what I'm saying =)

For those of you non-rentheads, I shall put a cut here.

The first ACT made me so happy in its identical-ness to RENT. I was singing rent songs in my head the whole way through the opera actually. I'm sick, I know.

-Rudolpho was amazing! Great voice and pretty to look at!
-Benoit/Benny was so funny!
-Rudolpho was TOTALLY checking out Mimi
-Akita Evita is actually a bird *hehe*
-LOVED the Today 4U dance/sword fight
-Maureen/Musetta is sooo Idina :)
-Mimi dies!?! Not even cool!

A soundbite from Rudolpho in the Act I
Sorry for the quality:)

Also for some reason I got an urge to watch Mr. Willoby's Christmas Tree last night. I just have to say seeing Stockard Channing in a maid uniform just makes me giggle. I still can't get over her singing in this either;) And because I love her so much, I shall give you gifts.
I think Swedish is among her best looks though her accent is a bit more like Roma Downey.

For those of you non-Stockard fans, I shall put a cut here.

It's an old tape so forgive the grainyness.

My recording method consists of sticking my digital voice recorder in fron of a speaker, so forgive the quality.

Perfect Tree <--Stockard & Leslie Neilson

You know you love me =)
