Pan Flute....

So I have decided I want to learn how to play the pan-flute. The way I understand it, it is not that difficult to play and it makes beautiful sounds. I know I am a strange girl, although I do have some motivation behind wanting to learn.
Reason 1. If any of you actually read my journal, you'll know my favorite author is Anne McCaffrey and her pern series. If you ACTUALLY read my journal you'll also know tha every year at the big Sci-Fi convention called Dragon*con that there is something called the Weyrfest, where all the crazy obsessive pernese fans get together and pretend to be actual pernese! Well, as my character will be a Harper with a gold Fire Lizard, it would be totally appropriate if I could actually play an intrument and also really fun! So that is my first reason.
Reason 2. I am twenty one now, and almost 7 months married. In the next maybe two, three years Will and I will mostly likely have a baby. I want to be able to play lullabys and songs for my baby. I know it's a silly, sentimental reason but it's my reason and I claim it.
So there ya go. I am going to buy one in the next week or two and get a good book to teach me how to play and maybe I will record myself if It sounds okay. Anyway, how do I know everyone will skip right over all this text and go straight to the puppy picture...
