I went to the sold-out Journey concert last night in San Francisco. It was amazing!!!!! At first I thought it would be me and a bunch of middle aged woman who were trying to remember their "hay-day!" but it was just great. To my surprise there were actually a lot of Philipinos there. Because of the new singer, Arnel. Oh but it was just sooo much fun.
I went with my Dad and a few of his friends. They were hilarious because they kept going on about what they did in high school and all and, wow, I found out some new things about my dad.
Cheap Trick opened. They were good, not crazy impressive or anything, but it was my first concert so I was excited anyway. Then Heart was after them. They were amazing. I now declare Nancy Wilson as a God. She's just such an amazing musician. It was great to watch.
And then last, but in no way the least, was JOURNEY! AHHH I was so excited. The singing from the audience was so loud, I wish I could have been a mile away to have heard "Lights". There was just sooo much singing from the audience that there's no way that went without some notice. Wow. And since we were in San Francisco it was even better. Cause that is San Francisco's song. City by the bay? Yeah, SF. So there was the singing, and then a million lighters. Amazing!
Overall I had an amazing time. And as a first concert, I don't think that can be beat. Haha, but we were in the lawn seats, so there was a TON of weed and drunk people. I won't lie, I had the munchies afterward...we stopped for Jack and the Box. Very satisfying. And the shirt I got is pretty cool, with the old school beetle with wings logo. I think I'll wear it to school tomorrow.
My mom's been really sick so today we decided we wanted to watch the Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth in it. It was really good, and really accurate when it comes to the book. The only thing that was a bit bad was the length. When I got it I looked at the back and it said 150 minutes. I think I can do math (key word "think") and thats 2 and a half hours right? Well you think that until five hours later when you realize they mean 2 1/2 per disc. Yeah, it ended up being an all day thing. I think it was worth it though. And the girl that plays Elizabeth was beautiful. I'd kill for that kind of skin.
Ah, well got to go finish an essay on Hawthorne!!
