Well, we finally figured it out!
John has steadily improved since starting on antibiotics last weekend, while Joe and I got worse. By Tuesday Joe had a high fever and was really irritable... I was miserable and had a sore throat. Another trip to the doc, and we all have strep throat! John has been treated, so he's safe. Joe and I started antibiotics yesterday and are working on getting better. Poor Joe had to miss school today because he's still contagious and has a fever. The whole medicine thing is really getting to him, necessitating forcing the dreaded stuff down his throat (after many different attempts to get him to take it reasonably). Anyhoo, I'm just looking forward to John being home within the next hour, hoping for a long bath this afternoon and some time to finish up projects this evening. Incidentally, we ended up spending $60 at the doc just on meds! Most of it was my fault, as I needed all new inhalers and such.
We did get to visit with Mark from NY this week, as he was down to take care of his mom who is having cataract surgery. John has been steadily working on the basement and getting rid of crap. I'm gonna be so happy when everything is ready for Jules!
John and I have a date tomorrow... likely dinner and movie, if we are up to it. I work all weekend, so it's kind of our last chance until my rents come home from Chicago (they leave next weekend for 2 weeks).
