Sad Wednesday
This morning I woke up to the sound of chainsaws, and when I opened my curtains saw that all the trees behind my house have been cut down. *cries*
Apart from the fact that the senseless killing of defenseless trees makes me sad, I also hate the view I have now, of those sad tree stumps and the stupid high school that was previously obscured. I got this house mainly for the view and now I've lost that!
Then I got to work and heard that everyone with a non-permanent contract is expected to attend a meeting next week in which we are going to discuss "the effects of the economical crisis on our company". I don't know about you, but that sounds to me as though I'm getting the sack soon.
Maybe I really should have stayed in New Zealand.
