The Air Force was, at one time, looking field their own shuttles. Vandenburg would have been the launch site.

Hope you enjoyed the silo tour. The girls and I took the Titan Missile museum tour in Arizona. They are pretty impressive piece of construction. Did they let you go down into the control center?
