Why do I feel safe walking around tech? Not because of this guy...

Okay... so tonight was just plain SCARY. Martin drove me to my car north of campus to get my books and when we parked in the lot near my dorm. There was a hispanic guy walking near the fence at the edge of the lot and we figured that he was gonna reach through the fence for a drug deal or something. He had some orange twine and what looked like a multi-tool or a pocket knife. I got out of the car and he walked up to me and asked why I felt safe walking around down town. I said I felt safe on campus, and he asked why and I said the GT police. Then he asked me if they were "around here" and motioned around the parking lot. This was starting to freak me out... so I said they patrolled everywhere. Then, the worst. He asked me if I felt like someone could shoot me from the other side of the fence (North Side Drive) and pointed to a black probably homeless guy on the other side of the road just standing there. OMG it was creepy. So I started walking to my dorm with Martin and the guy, who looked like 35 or 40, walked in the same direction like five feet to my left and slightly behind me. Martin decided to get out of there and said something to the effect of "oh shit, I can't park here" I started walking towards his car and asked why, just for effect and then we drove to the police department. Right after we got there someone else called in and said that the same guy was looking in dorm windows. Then I had to fill out that obligatory police report that made my hand hurt. They talked to him and it turns out he was a ?!?student?!? That makes me feel good... Anyways, I think my blood pressure, heart rate and adrenaline levels are finally back to normal, so I'll quit now so that you don't kill me for two long posts in one day.
