the bees kneez

so, saturday practice.  I'm standing in the brass arc when we're warming up, and alex says to me, "hey Nick, there's a bee on your shoulder."  And indeed, there was.  So I didn't freak out, because bees stopped scaring me once I learned that being scared of bees was actually detrimental.   But I still wasn't exactly comfortable with having a bee just chill out on my shoulder, so alex and I attempted to get it to fly away.  so, we shook my shirt to try to agitate it and get it to fly away, but it didn't work.  After like six tries of various things, alex finally managed to brush it off with her dot book.  Alex suggested that it just liked the scent of my deodorant, which apparently smells like after shave, but I can't help but suspect that it landed on my shoulder and then died.  but anyway, that's not all!  Later on, during one of our last runs, a bee flew up and landed on my sun glasses!  It too was rather odd, considering I was out in the middle of the field and moving at a rather high speed.  It hung out for a couple seconds and then flew off.  Anyway, that's that.  I realize that my second anecdote does not have a verb tense that agrees with the first, but I'm too lazy to go back and change it, so deal with it.
