I've been screwing around on IMDB.
There's gonna be Tenacious D movie with Meatloaf as Jack Black's father
Sarah Michelle Gellar IS indeed the girl in the cafeteria in She's All That. (I think I forgot to check the credits when I watched it.)
There's going to be a Simpsons movie?
Nancy Cartwright, the woman that does Bart's voice among several others, is also the voice of:
Daffney in Family Guy - Brian the Batchalor
Kim Possible - Rufus
Rugrats: All Grown Up - Chuckie (gasp!)
Animaniacs - Mindy Sadlier/Additional Voices (Was Mindy the annoying one?)
Bart Simpson was once in Sesame Street o.O
Shannen Doherty from Mallrats is in Charmed? I wouldn't know, I don't watch Charmed.
Kaley Cuoco (8 Simple Rules) was in Charmed?
Kaley Cuoco once did a voice in the Bratz TV Series. (Oh dear)
Kaley Cuoco also once appeared in Ellen, yay!
The dog in Mad About You is called Maui the Dog
Friends Goofs!
Continuity: In the pilot episode, the two apartments are numbers 4 and 5. Since then Monica and Rachel's apartment number has been 20 and Joey's and Chandler's apartment number is 19
Revealing mistakes: When Monica walks in on Joey and Chandler watching a tape of Monica and Richard, Joey pulls Monica to the floor and you can see she is wearing knee pads to protect her knees when she gets pulled down.
Continuity: in the one with the Halloween party we see Phoebe (superwoman) with a straight parting and high pig tails. When we see Ursula, Phoebe's parting changes to a zig-zag and her pigtails are lower.
Factual errors: Joey is a regular on "Days of Our Lives" while living in New York. But "Days of Our Lives" is taped in Los Angeles.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the pilot episode, the guy who Rachel left at the altar is called Barry Finkel. In all the other episodes his name is Barry Farber.
Continuity: In "The One That Could Have Been" when Chandler is trying to tell Monica that he likes her, his hair is sometimes sticking through his hat and other times it is smoothed out under his hat.
When Monica, Rachel, Chandler and Joey are playing the trivia contest during the lightning round Ross asks Joey and Chandler 3 questions 2 of them they get right but they got the question When Monica was a kid she got a pencil stuck where? Chandler got the question wrong but at the end of the lightning round he said Ok that's three for you. They technically only got 2 right which means Rachel and Monica shouldn't have lost their apartment then.
Crew or equipment visible: (The One At The Beach) When Phoebe is crawling through the window and it closes on her waist, a crew members elbows are visible pushing the window down on her.
Friends facts:
Ursula Buffay, Phoebe's twin sister, is a waitress in the TV show "Mad About You" (1992). Fran (Leila Kenzle) and Jamie (Helen Hunt) visit the coffee shop and mistake Phoebe for Ursula in one episode of Friends. (I already knew this one)
Other titles considered for the show were "Friends Like Us," "Six of One," and "Across the Hall." "Insomnia Cafe" was also considered.
Courteney Cox was originally asked to play Rachel, but she asked to play Monica instead after reading the parts.
Jon Cryer was originally offered the role of Chandler Bing.
Rachel is the only one to have kissed all the Friends (dated Ross, had a "fling" with Joey, kissed Chandler at the party when she was in high school, kissed Monica to get the apartment back from the guys, and kissed Phoebe in the episode with Winona Ryder)
In the last few months of shooting Friends, Courteney Cox became pregnant, but, seeing as Monica wasn't supposed to be able to have a baby, they covered up her pregnancy by making her wear baggy clothes while shooting the show so no one could tell.
The first and last episodes are the only ones in the entire series that do not begin with "The One...". The first episode is called "The Pilot", and the final episode is called "The Last One". However, the first episode has a different version of it's name, namely "The one where it all began (The Pilot)"
James Michael Tyler was given the part of Gunther because he knew how to operate a cappucino machine.
Gunther was not originally a speaking part.
James Michael Tyler was actually working in a coffee shop in Hollywood when he got the part of Gunther. He kept his coffee gig for the first four seasons of Friends.
June Gable who plays Joey's agent, Estelle Leonard, also played a nurse who delivered a baby for Leah Remini (who originally auditioned for the role of Monica) in the episode where Ross and Carol have their own baby. Joey assisted his future agent by being the breathing coach during labor.
Lisa Kudrow was terrified of the duck that showed up in Season 3.
"Marcel" was played by two female monkeys, named Monkey and Katie. Katie also starred in Outbreak (1995). Coincidentally, in the episode "The One After the Super Bowl" Marcel is starring in the fictional sequel "Outbreak 2: The Virus Takes Manhattan".
Courteney Cox added Arquette to the end of her name after her marriage to David Arquette between seasons five and six. Her father, Richard L. Cox, died in 2001 and during the midst of the ninth season, she dropped the Arquette in her father's memory.
Matt LeBlanc's character 'Joey Tribbiani' plays Dr. Drake Ramoray in a fictional version of the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives" (1965). In real life, Jennifer Aniston's father, John Aniston, plays 'Victor Kiriakis' on the real Days of Our Lives.
The first member of the cast to get a role in a Hollywood film was Marcel the Monkey.
Before the show was cast, the main love interest was intended to be Monica and Joey.
The opening credits sequence in which the stars dance in a fountain was shot in Warner Bros LA lot at 4am. The water was kept heated through a pump. The group was given the words to the Rembrandts song but it was not playing in the background because the song had not been recorded. Jennifer Aniston is seen lip syncing the song in the opening and closing credits.
In the opening credits to part-two of the Vegas story line, all of the names in the opening (actors and crew) were changed to have "Arquette" at the end of them, a gag on Courteney Cox-Arquette who had just recently married David Arquette.
The role of Emily was offered to Patsy Kensit but she politely turned it down
Maggie Wheeler (Janice) is in The Parent Trap (I also knew this already)
First choice for Rachel was Téa Leoni.
The original idea for the show was going to focus on four characters with Phoebe and Chandler in supporting roles. In the early stages the creators toyed with the idea of Chandler being gay. They changed their mind when they met Matthew Perry. They did, however, insert many jokes about Chandler having gay mannerisms (not knowing about sports, loving show tunes, etc.).
The artwork in Central Perk is changed every three episodes.
Joey's statue of a white dog was originally given to Jennifer Aniston as a good luck present from her best friend when she started acting. She offered to lend it to the show for the episode where Joey became rich and bought a lot of stuff. After that episode, the producers decided to keep it.
There have been eight Oscar winning actors/actresses who have appeared on Friends. Charlton Heston, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Helen Hunt, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Robin Williams, and George Clooney.
