A new development!
I think I'm graduating a semester early.
Dun dun dun. This means many things:
1) I am now class of 2008 (tho, dec '08)
2) the real world looms ever nearer
3) gonna save a butt ton of money
4) the real world looms ever nearer
5) the real world looms ever nearer
(tho, if I do go to grad school, I can postpone total real world for just a while longer)
Anyway, yea. Came across this fact at about midnight last night. After this semester is done, I only have 12 classes left to take for both my majors. This means that I will have 2 majors, a minor and study abroad all in 3 1/3 years. Awesome.
Also, as Tori said today, not counting my time in Japan as being literally at Elon, I have less than a full year left to live here - 2 semesters. Crazy.
However, the only reason I wouldn't do it is for, what I'm calling, the "oh crap" phenomenon. The "oh crap" phenomenon takes place when one realizes, perhaps, that this means that GREs must be taken sooner, grad school applications must happen sooner, job applications must happen sooner, and one will have to decide whether to go to grad school or not, whether to defer acceptance if one is going and the list goes on.
And all of this the week of exams, probably not the most opportune time.
Update: Also, I need to remember through all of this that getting stressed about what one is supposed to do isn't a good thing. I need to remember what I said only a few days ago and know that, really, if I'm both practical and creative, things are gonna be a-ok.
