I'm pleased. And concerning my history grade I'm excited, relieved, and nearly happy! I worked hard to get a good grade. I don't know if I've ever really done that before. I mean, I cared about learning in that class, and to prove to my teacher that she can motivate even the usually apathetic, I took notes on reading, did homework, and studied for tests. Result: I did well and feel good. I'm actually aiming for an A this semester. We'll see. I was really really hoping to get a B- in Spanish, and I came out with a B. Nice. As far as my other classes are concerned, I either didn't care at all (geometry) or knew I'd do fine (English).

Claire came over and we watched part of The Royal Tenenbaums. Then my brothers got back from Blockbuster and told us that we couldn't watch it. Nick's reason was that I'd seen it at least twice (true) and Greg's was that it's a dumb movie (which is a matter of opinion). So we watched Underworld, although we really didn't pay attention to the first twenty minutes or so. We even went upstairs and Claire met my room, which does not have a name. Claire's cool and I like her. Her dad insisted on picking her up in his car instead of her walking home... Oh, parents. Papa said he would have done the same thing. Papa is insane, actually! He wouldn't stop talking about the nose of the main character in Underworld... Hah.

I might just call Becca before I go to sleep.
