The summer...so far
Summer has been going great. I haven't been around much, and haven't seen anyone except on mandatory days (kids kamp). But all in all my summer has been busy and eventful.
First came Lincoln. I had a blast. Most of the shows were good and i had fun being on my own for a while. There were arguments as much as was expected. I took some good workshops, though there was no yoga or swing dancing in the world.
After Lincoln was Kids Kamp, which is never a big deal to me because i spent the days with Dad, Ryan, and for a little bit Dan. For two days out of the week, i was completely flooded into my house and spent a long time with my mother.
Spent the last day after clean-up with my sister in Norfolk, acting like a complete fool and dancing around the city.
Afterwards was the thespian pool party, and i came only to make a ten minute appearance to say hello, but ended up having a good time and staying quite a bit longer.
That Saturday, i went to see Romeo and Juliet in the park with Courtney and Bozaz, but it sucked so we just went to IHOP.
Next came Richmond. This is by far one of the best events of the summer. I went on Wednesday morning and came back Friday night. I like hanging out with older people. I fit in better sometimes, i think. Her friends are nice, and i even stayed in one of their dorm rooms because she had a spare bed. It was a trip full of firsts. First time i had had boba, which i tried at the TT lounge. First time putting money into a jukebox and it working, at the villiage cafe at midnight. First time smoking a huka at Sahara, where we hours until 2 am smoking and dancing to techno and bob marley. First time sitting in on a college class. It was a great trip.
Now i'm getting a job. Jen's the manager of Baha Fresh at Lynnhaven, so she's helping me out. I find out tomorrow.
