Most of the people i know who are just getting into college aren't happy. I can only tell you my views on the subject.
Though you may not be crazy about moving away and being on your own, it will happen sometime. That's what makes life great. If you were to stay in the same place forever and nothing changed, you could never grow as a person. Though comfort and familiarity may be what you think you need, those aren't going to help you. Our expiriences as people are what make us who we are. Things happen to you and you move on. Someone dies. Your heart gets broken. You walk away from something great. You break down. YOU WILL MOVE ON. Not to say that there aren't a ton of people back here that won't be there to pick you up, because there are. But cutting the strings that bind you and EXPIRIENCING is what will be the best for you.
