Various Things

Notes on my 101 List:

Item #18 "Find a Beer I Like" has officially begun. A friend took me out for wings yesterday and offered to buy a few beers with the intention of me trying them and the knowledge he'd probably finish them.
I tried a Vanilla Porter (by Brewsters? or something like that) and something-something that was on tap. the Vanilla Porter was supposedly sweet and sorta maybe malty, made with vanilla beans and having 'hints of chocolate.' What i tasted more resembled a fountain soda where the syrup's gone out and you have mostly carbonated water. It wasn't horrible, but... he agreed that it was lacking in flavor.
The other something was yellow and certainly registered as 'fruity' in the sense of things that don't actually contain fruit. It had a really strong herby/planty back-of-the-throat taste that I didn't like at all. We discussed and decided that 1) not sipping and 2) not breathing immediately after swallowing make that effect almost completely vanish. Also, these are both things that one *does* do to get the full flavor out of tea, so maybe that tells us something.

Item #58 "Practice archery for a month, [five times]" is technically complete in that I've practiced 5 times but i've done it in 4 weeks, and I'm shy the One Month / 31 days mark by a week exactly. And also, my next opportunity to go practice will be before the one month mark too, so i'll have squished 6 practices into 31 days.
Anyhow, i'm calling it complete since the intention, to get me in the habit of practicing regularly, has certainly been successful.

Now, due to item #1 "Pay the Kitty Bank $5 for every completed Item," I owe myself $5.
I am considering adding in a clause, to pay the Kitty Bank $10 for each incomplete item at the end of the time frame.

In other news, I rearranged my bedroom today so that Digit has a harder time storming my computer table, where is where food tends to be consumed. Ha Ha!
I also now have room for two more book shelves.
I also have no random expenditure money to speak of. Drat the luck...
