Digit

So, my new kitty is Digit.
Digit is a ruffly 11 year-old female, fixed and declawed, around (a round) 15 pounds. Brown tabby with a black stripe down her back and greenish yellow eyes.
She's become Digi or Digi-cat, since i am inclined to end names with a 'y' sound.

The first thing i did when i moved in was stress the hell out of her by moving the bed she was hiding under while she was still under it. Mostly because i couldn't get her out from under it. For the first several days she spent most of her time down there, only coming out when no one was looking, or there was food being put in her bowl, or presumably to use the litter box.

I discovered in the middle of Sunday night that she can, in fact, get up on the bed. Right next to my head, as it happens.

Since then she's been relaxing and becoming more active and humanized. And developing an attitude. She yells at me at 5 in the morning when she hears Ris and Cody getting up and wonders why i haven't gotten out of bed to feed her. She even yelled at me for a few minutes yesterday just because, i think. Catnip is a great success, strings and feathers accepted, jingle balls ignored. She seems to love Cat Grass but has turned her nose up at kitty treats so far. I think she was barking at birds last night, but i might have been asleep.
There is a disturbing resemblance to Misha here.

So far she hasn't socialized much with the other pets. Pippin gets firmly hissed at anytime he comes in my bedroom (excuse me, Her Bedroom) and she stays away from Remy all together.

Digit is a little bit of a bitch. Ris tells me there was a Pippin-Digit altercation in the livingroom about 3am Tuesday morning which required squirt guns to resolve, and Digit is quick to slap and flail about if you play with her toes or her tummy fur.

She is the only animal in the house who doesn't finish all of her food rations at once, which means her food is in danger from scavengers.
Going to have to figure this out when work starts...

So: Kitty pics!

Digi-cat wondering why there are cameras flashing her.

Digit on drugs, i.e. being cute

Digit watching the snow fall. You wouldn't think she's fit on the window ledge if you saw it.
Actually, she doesn't. She's on the table  XD
Kitty overflow!
