[Grune sounds as chipper as always when she opens her journal today, but when she addresses the village, it's for a somewhat different reason than usual.] Good morning, everyone! I hope you're all having a very nice day ( Read more... )

[Aww, Sophie is so adoracute. Pao-lin smiles.]

I'd be happy to help out with looking after her! Though I haven't done that kind of thing much before. But I promise I'll try my best!

Hello, Pao-lin! Thank you very much! That's very kind of you.

What kind of cookies would you like?

Surprise me! I'll try anything you make.

[This may or may not be a dangerous proposition.]

[Hmm... Fenimore spends a while flipping through her own journal to do a background check. Only been here a couple of months, but she seems to have been spending it organizing a mural. She seems to have some kind of fighting ability, but half the people here are the fighting type and she apologized for problems after an event.

Seems pretty innocuous. Especially since Fenimore is less inclined to suspect teenage girls. Pass for danger levels.]

...How little is "not much?"

Ah...every now and again. My caretaker has a two-year-old niece that I've looked after sometimes while she does some work, and then two years ago I had to babysit the mayor's infant son because I was the only one who could make him stop crying.

Oh! [This sounds more promising than she expected. Occasional experience with a two-year-old, and then a calming effect on an infant...]

Well, that's not bad for not much. Sophie's a bit older than either of those, so it will be a bit different. But you'll be able to pick it up on the way, I'm sure.
