this is me, take it or leave it.

When you look at the stars, do you see beauty or do you see science? I have always been more interested in the theories, the ideaologies, the philosophies of life than the facts of life. I suppose that makes me a dreamer in a world overrun by realists, but that is who I want to be. More, that is who I always will be, and no one can take that from me. Life is a series of tragedies from the time you grow too old for fairy tales, but I believe everyone has their "happily ever after" somewhere out there begging to be found. However, we live in a world that causes chasing your dreams to run you into brick walls, over and again. The so called real world drains the hope out of you and causes people to sacrifice their dreams and live to survive. I refuse to submit myself to this supposed normal life. I know I sound naiive, but if you truly believe and keep running into that brick wall enough times, the cement will crack, its hold will loosen, and you will break through. It is true that no one person can change the world, but anyone who believes in their dreams enough to make their hole in that wall against all odds changes a little piece of it. Picture any great invention, any great philosophy, anything in history where the creation of one person some way shaped the lives of all, or many, to follow. No one believed the world was round until someone believed enough to risk sailing off the edge. That is the type of life I live, no wall along the path is going to stop me from living for my dreams because I believe. Inventors get treated as madmen, but they believe in the possibility of the creations in their mind and don't let anyone discourage them from that belief. Before electricity, do you think most people believed in it? Or the telephone, or the computer? Of course not, but the people who dreamed of creating these great things broke through the wall society put in front of them and proved everyone wrong. Anything is possible if you have the strength and presence of mind to believe at all costs and all odds in your dreams. The facts of life make this seem unlikely, maybe impossible, but this is because people tend to let the obstacles and walls along the way serve as dead ends. They don't necessarily give up on their dreams or beliefs, but they stop putting their heart and soul into them. This is the greatest tragedy of any of the setbacks or tragedies along the way, from insignificant to overwhelming. No one or no event should ever cause you to give up on who you are or what you believe, not even slightly. There are certain times in life that doors will open for you, but sometimes you have to fight to create your own...

I could write more, but I think that is the most anyone will read for now, let me know what you think.
