take control of the atmosphere
i've been a pretty lame friend lately. life in general has been kinda hectic. when i'm not studying or schooling or fulfilling another previously made commitment, i feel like it's 2 am and all there is to do is sleep and wake up to do it all over again. so much goes on and i don't even have time to process it all before something else happens. my ( Read more... )
My daughter, my creation, my joy. Here these words from my servant Paul:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which trancends all understanding, will gaurd your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phillippians 4:6-7
He bgins this chapter by telling the Phillipians to "Rejoice, again I say rejoice." But what is treu rejoicing, it comes from joy. And do not mistake happiness for joy. Unlike happiness, joy rises above all circumstances." I do not protect you from trouble, I actually allow them to come. But why? Becuase I know trouble causes pain, and it is pain that drives you to a hunger for intimacy with Me. When pain comes you are presented with two choices: anxiety or joy. To the world, anxiety says that you don't know if I can handle your present situation. But peace says to all that I hold your circumstance and life in my hands. You know that to be true. I hole ALL YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES in My hands. Jessica, what stands in your way from obtaining true joy through your circumstances? If you look at your heart and you see what I see, you will find that is the same circumstance that I allowed to come into your life that keeps you from true joy. But I tell you, the way to true joy through circumstance is prayer. But this prayer must be filled with thanksgiving. A true thanksgiving, giving thanks for the thing your flesh drives you to take for granted. Being thankful for life, your next breath, the fact that the world is still spinning and I hold you molecules together, that I paint a sunset everynight. When you are truly thankful for these things, in light of these things, your circumstances don't seem so large. You rise above them becuase your present circumstances are so small to the gifts I give everyday. When you choose this kind of prayer you choose peace. A peace that I have for you. A peace that is not sent but is found in Me and that you obtain by coming to Me. Hear My call, My words, My truth. Open ypur heart so that I may write these words on it with love. My child, I love you with a love that supasses understanding. I am inviting you into My peace, all you have to do is take it. Take heart My child, I am with you always.
