I just got back from my from-now on daily run. It is extremely cold outside, and now I have a headache from being out in the cold, and coming into the semi-warm house. My muscles have all tightened up, and my eyes sting from the wind. This is what I get for wanting to be Ms. Track Star. Why didn't I pick Rock Star? At least they get to stay where it's warm...
Ah, I felt accomplished today during Toning class. My lifting sheet told me to do a set of 10 at 115 in the parallel squat, so I did my 10. It was as if there was no weight...So, for my second set, which was suppose to be 120, I jumped up to 145. Once again, this seemed a bit too easy, so for my final set, I went up to 165. I only had three sets to do, so thus concluded my squats. My benching made me feel weak though...It was quite sad... Benching 85 used to be easy for me, but ever since my ankle injury, I've been trying to get my legs back into tip-top shape, I've let my arms fall below par.
I'm going to start doing crunches and sit-ups everyday in order to tone my core. I've gained some fat around my abs, and I need to lose it, so I can be a lean, mean running machine. ::laughs:: Seriously, I've let myself go during the winter, time to cut back, and kick it into gear.
Hopefully I can obtain my goal of beating Stephanie Caruso this year in the 800m. She's always got me, and this year I want to beat her at least once. Thus is my goal.
Beat Caruso in the 800m, or at least drop my time from 2:41, to 2:20.
I've begun thinking about going with my childhood dream, and applying to Ohio State...::shrugs:: It's just a thought.
