The Day of Silence
April 26th
The Day of Silence is an event in which people of any sexual orientation and gender identity who support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights take a vow of silence to recognize and protest the silence, discrimination, and oppression that these people face in their daily lives.
The voices that aren't heard on the Day of Silence are for those who have been prejudiced, hated, harassed, and quieted because of who they are and how they express that.
