Everyone is safe.
Last night my house burned down. We lost everything. It was an electrical fire that started in my bedroom. Everything is gone. The Army is sending Vinny home. I got Geoffrey and the pup out. We are not hurt. I inhaled a lot of smoke and had to go to the ER but only because I have asthma.
They have us staying in lodging. Red Cross gave us $600. A food bank donated a box of food. The thrift store on Post gave us a couple outfits each. Tomorrow I sign for our new house. The Army is loaning us furniture until May 10th.
