Just all the recent twelvecolonies stuff I can admit to doing. Nooooot the most graphically gifted person, but some of this stuff I actually like! And some of it I can only look at and think "Hey, I broke out of my comfort zone, damn it!"

Your graphics are so pretty! How do you get the picture to be so crisp and clear? Mine always seem very dull.

Oh, thank you! I don't have Photoshop -- can't justify the expense -- so I've had to learn mostly through trial and error and I've found a Photoshop tutorial or two I could adapt to the software I do have.

Ray's suggestion is a good one. Usually I go through a progression of layers. A little putzing around with levels, then some selective coloring or saturation, then a curves layer and a brightness/contrast layer. Not all software seems to have the curves capability, but all of the other adjustment layers are pretty standard, I think.
