Cancun: Day One
Woo! I made to Cancun!
Alright, break down of today.
Got around two hours of sleep in the morning, because my sister came in my room and distracted me from packing.
Got to the airport just in time, which is too bad, because I really like the Detroit Airport, and I really like exploring and walking around it.
The three hour flight wasn't bad. I mostly slept through it. Got some cool sky pictures on my phone :).
It is really humid here.
Spent like an hour talking to the hotel people before we actually checked in and got our rooms.
The oldies didn't want our third floor rooms, because this "5-star" hotel doesn't have an elevator. So we got ground level rooms right down the hallway of the lobby, and yet the wifi only works in the lobby and not in the room. Oh and there isn't much to do at this hotel, but there are two others that are in the same company kinda thing, so we can take a shuttle to the others. Haven't done that yet. But will tomorrow for the presentation/tour. Last bus leaves at 10, so we can't stay that late at the other places :(.
Food and drinks not included in the package either. In this hotel, there's two restaurants, but one of them is only a dinner one that opens at 6. We ate at the other one around 4, which they closed at five so they could get ready for dinner at 6 as well.
The "buffet" was rather disappointing. Very disappointing. I'm super paranoid about getting sick from the water here.
After that, we were all tired, so we took naps.
I got up around 7 or 8 and walked around the beach.
Took some pictures with my Nikon, 3 girls asked me to take their pictures with their camera (and i stupidly just kept walking after i took their pictures instead of talking to them, but i don't think any of the were that attractive, and they seemed like they didn't speak much English either, but I'm mad at myself for not even trying. I realized this like 2 minutes after it happened. I was distracted by music, the nice white smooth sand, and the really nice atmosphere and weather), haha and I already saw a topless woman in the ocean.
Got back, and my mom was still sleeping.
So now I've been in the lobby using the wifi.
Today was a bit of a let down, but hopefully tomorrow will get better.
But it's only 9 right now, so there's still time for stuff today.
Though I doubt anything that fun.
It would be nice if we could use phones, had more than one key to the room though there's 2 of us in it, and if I had someone to go exploring with.
I really hope I meet cool people here.
