I have alittle explaining to do...

All right, it's been a really long time since I've actually updated in here. I thought the "livejournal" phase in my life was over, but the other day I was rummaging through my old entried of when I was young and stupid, and realized how much I missed LJ. There's no reason I can't use this and MySpace. Although, MySpace's format for blogs kind of irritates me at times. So I think I'm going to try and make a comeback on my LJ ^_^.

So, if you want an update of everything that's happened so far until now, Click Here and read my entries there. But be forwarned, some of them are long and obnoxious, lol

Anyway, so now for a real update!

On Monday classes started for this semester. I'm taking History and English 1301. We meet one night a week, History is Monday nights, and English is Tuesday nights.
When I signed up for my courses, and saw my teachers names I was like oh man. I could already tell how they were going to be, just by their names. I knew my history professor was gonna be a stickler for history/curriculum and probably have us write a few papers. Which is exactly what he is and what he wants us to do, lol. He's pretty nice though and very informative. I think I'm going to like him. And what I knew already about my English teacher is that she was going to be very easy going/fun....and ding ding ding! Right on the money. She was crazy Tuesday night. I don't know if I ever stopped laughing. She likes work to be challenging, but not boring. And with the outline that she gave us of the papers we'll be writing, she's done just that. I'm actually really excited about this class. I thought I was going to dread it. I need to ask her if she can proof read my papers for History before I turn those in, if not, maybe I can call up Mrs. barnett or something. I dunno, but I'm really excited for this semester!

The papers I have to write for History are book reviews. We're to pick a book from the list he gave us (or pick a non-fiction historical book, and have him approve it), read it, and write an analytical paper on it. "NOT A SUMMARY", as he states in his syllabus. I chose two from the list he gave us. The first book I'm reading is called "Ideological Origins of the American Revolution" by Bernard Bailyn. I hope it doesn't go over my head. That's really the only thing that concerns me with this book, is that I understand it.

The Second book I'm going to read is called "Devil in the Shape of a Woman: Witchcraft in Colonial England" by Carol F. Karlsen. From the reviews, Profressor Karlsen uncovers what really happened, and who were the ppl that were deemed "witches". It looked interesting. The were a few more books that appealed to me, so I have a back up if I don't like one of these two. But yeah..

My first paper for English is due next Tuesday. It's just a rough paper on the topic "What's the worst advice you've ever gotten?" and we're supposed to elaborate on that and make it into a 2 page paper. It's marked as Expressive(a form of writing), which is basically what i'm doing now. The only thing is that, I don't know/remember the worst advice given to me. I'm usually the one giving advice, not receiving it, lol So I'm kind of lost as to what to write about.

Well I hate to cut this short, but I just got 3 cases in my work queue, so I must go. Hopefully I'll write later!
