Hee! I am totally over the moon right now. After spending the last 7 months looking (yes! Seven!) the Fiance has found employment! He is, in his own paranoid way, completely thrilled, and so am I! With the cover art gig working out--really well!--and things apparently starting to turn around, I kinda want to sleep for a week. *nods*
But, as they say, there's no rest for the wicked! I've finished my research paper, and my accompanying presentation, and now I've got (I think) a short paper to write by... tomorrow. Um, things got a little away from me? It's okay. It's really short, and writing is my specialty. *nods*
In addition, I've decided to re-launch The Book, and that's something I'll have to spend some time with, but hopefully it'll be worth the effort. A few people have approached me about maybe doing some cover art for them, which is made of awesome since that's all word of mouth and I've only been doing this for... two weeks? Anyway, my authors love their covers. Either they've raved to me, raved in places I can see, or raved to others who have passed it along, so they're all raving! Er, but not stark raving or anything... :-D
Which reminds me, I have a Sherlock wall to post! And I hope to be doing a banner for this poor, artistically neglected LJ! And I have icons I want to make. And fic! It may seem like I'm not writing much, but if you only knew how many projects I have in the pipelines! I even have beta'd fic I haven't posted yet. (Yes, it's been that busy.)
Also, the amazing
fennishjournal and I are currently working our way through the ACD books and I cannot tell you how much fun it is to have another fannish person to read them with! We both fell into squee when, in the Sign of Four, Holmes plays his violin to lull Watson to sleep (!!!) and when Mary Morstan just walks in and is her wonderful, awesome self! I now totally have to re-read
Marriage a Trois and leave fabulous, fabulous feedback. Of course, it also really helped while reading Sign of Four to have someone to cringe with during the (OMG-so-much) racism. *shudders* We've moved on to The Hound of the Baskervilles, and I'm looking forward to having re-read (it's been ages) the book before re-watching the update on Saturday.
Oh, last week's Watchalong! I meant to post about it sooner, but I've been slammed and stressed. It went wonderfully and you should absolutely join us this week! It was so much fun to sit down and watch the show and squee, gush, whine and glare with other fannish types! I can't wait to do it again!
So, yeah. As the title of this post says... STUFF! :-D
