If you had to live in the world of a classic novel for a year, which would it be?
Hmm. Define classic. :-D Okay, okay. If I had to choose one, I think it would be The Chronicles of Narnia, because… awesome! :-D
Fandom
I love fandom. I think it’s wonderful that there are huge, roving groups of people all getting together to write, graphic, vid, etc. for the sheer joy of it. Just because it makes them happy to do so. Sure, there are squabbles, and divisions, and the dreaded ‘wank,’ but fandom is a vast collection of people all sharing their interests, talents, and thoughts. It’s taught me a lot, and I’ve met some of the best people, and it has been there for me, and… Well, I think fandom is just the best thing ever. I missed it like crazy while I was away, and I’m thrilled to be back!
Unsung secondary characters in any fandom
Hmm… Unsung you say? I would have to say Molly in Sherlock Fandom. She’s so awesome and doesn’t get enough love. Granted, it’s not like she’s completely ignored, but she still doesn’t get enough. I hope to write some Molly/Irene fic soon! I have to finish up some Sherlock/John, and then write some Sherlock/John/Lestrade, but then it will be Molly/Irene. *nods*
Your ideal job
Writing. It’s the most rockin’ thing ever. Granted, I’d like to make more money doing it, but if judged career-worthiness by money I’d be doing something else anyway.
Guilty pleasure entertainment
Hmm. This is a hard one, because I don’t really feel guilty about my entertainment. Fanfic, I suppose, because I read some really bad fic sometimes, just to have something to read. But, I don’t really feel guilty about that, either.
Austen vs. any Bronte
Um, actually… I’ve never read any of them. I know, I know. Nobody pelt me with rotten tomatoes or anything, I just… was never interested. *shrugs*
AUs in your favorite fandom
I love AUs, although I think there are a lot of different types. There’s the stories that start with a cannon event and then go off in a different direction, and some people call those AUs, but I don’t really see them as such. Then there’s the ones that are the characters taken completely out of the setting and put in another, such as Sherlock and John are… I don’t know… Martians, or whatever. And those are what I think of as AU. And they can also be really fun and interesting!
