Back from the beach!
My 8th day in Venezuela!
Finally we spent a day alone doing what most couples would usually do. =)
1. Lunch at Ho Kow (Chinese restaurant in Caracas)!
I wanted to come here because Andres told me he used to come here all the time for the fried Ha Gao. and since there's no such thing as fried ha gao in HK, I wanted to try it. lol
So here's the fried Ha Gao
Other than that, we ordered 北京片皮鴨!
They use 1 duck and serve it in 3 dishes!
1. duck crepes
(Here in Venezuela they make the crepes for you and serve them on your plates....-3-)
2. fried ducks
(they also serve the fried ducks on your individual plates too! sigh...weird...)
3. duck soup
While we were eating, another table ordered hot pot.
But here the waiter cook everything for you and serve the food on your bowl/plate.....
the pot here looks so lonely....
And finally, someone's cooking with the pot!
After lunch, we went to this shopping mall.
Well we actually wanted to go to the hair salon to make a reservation for Andres' haircut but it was closed...so we ended up walking around the mall.
Andres' sister Mafe said, "every year they have a very pretty X'mas tree here but for some reason this year's is so crappy" lol
We went into this book store and they sell really pretty puzzles.
Andres saw this one and went like, "Wow! There're 5000 pieces in this one and they all have the same colour!" lol
And guess what I found!
Harry Potter books in Spanish!
After walking around, doing nothing for like an hour, we went to another mall for a movie ^^
(This is our first time watching a movie together, ALONE! >3<)
On the way there, I saw this really cool scene: there's a ring of cloud surrounding the mountain!
and while I was taking this picture, Andres was changing the ringtone in his cell phone...lol
Anyway, finally, we made it to the mall. ^3^
This cinema is one of the few cinemas in Caracas that has movies in English.
While we were killing time, we found this really pretty pastry shop with really pretty dessert. >3<
Andres was like, "Which one do you want?"
and I was like, "I don't know! >< They all look so pretty! ><"
So, in the end, I chose this one: strawberry tart! ^^
And after an hour or so, finally it's time for the movie!
We watched Four Christmases.
It's such a funny movie. lol
