okay, i guess it's time for one of those LJ year-in-review type things. except i haven't been doing this a year, so i'm going to use my xanga entries instead. here are the highlights of the first entry each month:
january:
wow, a lot has happened since i last wrote anything. finals week was actually fairly fun in between the stressful moments. much craziness ensued. the day before i left it was FREEZING. i went to take my last final and it was 11 degrees outside with a crazy windchill and snow everywhere. i really think i'm going to die in february.
my flight home was fairly uneventful aside from the fact that i went to the airport slightly drunk. that was an interesting experience.
february:
So there was a mary-kate sighting today. i got off the elevator to go to my journalism class and she walked right by me. and you know what i noticed? she was wearing green chucks, the exact same shoes i've been thinking about buying.

So i finally found a job. as a babysitter. ahahahahahahahahahahahahah...oh the irony.

i've been feeling restless lately, almost tired of the city and tired of being here. a part of me really just wants to come home, but now i don't even know what i'm coming home to.

yay for the first day in forever with sun and no rain. i am now pleasantly sunburned. as in no longer deathly pale. hooray! so far this has been a fairly entertaining weekend, thanks to a day at the pool and a night out with my favorite chauffer. thanks ; )
july:
i'm still really pissed that someone stole my car stereo. the car was sitting in my driveway for heaven's sakes!! i really hate riding around in silence. i've taken to talking on my cellphone just to make some noise.

number of miles an hour i got pulled over for doing: 58 in a 35
number of dollars said indiscretion is costing me: 224
number of hours spent driving aimlessly around atlanta: 1 +
number of illegal things i did on friday: (approx.) 5
number of people topless in a parking lot in buckhead: 2
number of rum shots taken: apparently 2 many
september:
i have the best apartment/view ever!!! my living room is HUGE, the kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, and i'm currently sitting in bed staring at the beautiful brooklyn bridge all lit up over the water. last night i hosted a scrabble party. it was most excellent.
october:
Wow, so the killers concert was great! it was a festival show, so we took the ferry over around 3:00 and basically basked in the sun during tegan and sara, and british sea power. bsp was really cool, and they randomly had trees on stage. then interpol came on, and they were amazing!!
november:
"Hey there Delilah, what's it like in new york city, i'm a thousand miles away, but girl, tonight you look so pretty, yes you do, times square can't shine as bright as you, you know it's true...."
i think i'm having an existential crisis.
december:
there are so many ways to waste time. for example, tonight i have:
browsed for books at the strand
watched the OC
downloaded songs from limewire
re-labeled all my itunes songs
made chicken caesar salad
had pointless conversations on aim
checked all my websites (facebook, xanga, xuqa, livejournal, etc.)
and the best way of all to waste time??
i'll give you a hint. it's only three little letters....

looking back on my first full year or xanga entries, I realize that some of the old ones were fairly good. at least interesting, or eloquent, or maybe including an amusing list or haiku. too bad my livejournal sucks. i'll try to do better, i promise.
