How disappointing...
...Well. That was less than pleasant! But I'm back now, and I found the court! Well, kind of. It's apparently where the military is stationed here, and apparently it functions much the same, but there is a rather unsatisfying lack of the standard sort of procedure I am used to. A rather disturbing absence of hospitality, for one, and while I understand the reduction of the typical noble frivolity, and can hardly blame them for getting rid of a good deal of it, a man such as myself finds it much harder to make a living and a name for himself when there is nobody to make a name in front of. Nevertheless, I will persevere! Thankfully, where the court is lacking in generosity, the good lady Marienne is clearly not, and thus I have someplace to stay for now. ::winks::
