Blog ich, also bin ich
My friend NinaVerbeena is going to Africa later this year and I've started thinking about it in that general wish-I-was-going, jealousy sort of way. Hub has found and pointed me towards Hank's Aero Adventures, a company which allows you to take a plane and cruise around Southern Africa and look to your heart's content. I've been curious about a safari, but one of the things that concerned me was what happens if a largish wild animal decides to take a run at the tour truck? This ain't Disney, where the track for the fake hippo stops far enough away from the Jungle Cruise boat so no one gets overly frightened. Call it Jurassic Park Syndrome: when Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists. This tour seems like the perfect answer -- cheetah looking a bit pissy at you for getting too close? Pull back on the stick. He can run, but he ain't cleared for takeoff.
I am so lusting after my own domain. It isn't like I have that many hits a day, but I *am* enjoying myself and, much as I love Diaryland, I'm thinking I could do more with Blogger or Movable Type. Mwah! I need to get out there and see what I can do and where. If anyone wants to buy a domain for me, they can feel free to do so. ;) Might even actually hook up my webcam.

I've painted my nails this delightful shade of dark blue with glitter in it tonight. I can't tell you the last time I painted my fingernails, but the first three digits of the year were probably 1, 9, and 8. It kept me occupied while I was avoiding doing laundry and other respectable types of housework.
Kinda like right now I'm writing instead of going to bed. If anyone has a suggestion for a good webhost, let me know.
