Sweeping out the brain

I'm having a seriously good karma day. I got Pocket Dragons in the mail today from Dana Elayne just 'cause she's cool like that and she knows I love them, and I got a book that I bought from someone on LJ *also* in today's mail. Woohoo! Of course, now I feel like I need to do lots of good deeds lest I have a karma debt. :)

Dad is home from the hospital already (and thanks for all the well wishes). He wasn't expected to go home for a day or two yet, but they sent him home anyway. Stubborn Man was on his way home from the hospital with my mom, who asked him if he wanted to stop to get his prescription filled. He decided he didn't really need the medication as his hip wasn't hurting. Ahem. You just came off an IV which had painkillers in it, you dork! When I was talking to him on the phone today (at work, shhhhh), about three hours after he had gotten home, he said it was starting to hurt. Duh. I should hope that he has his drugs by now.

We, one of the several million channels for women, shows a Cinematherapy movie I think every night. I like the idea, categorizing movies to fit your mood, but tonight's movie is Sophie's Choice. What's the mood for that one, movies to make you want to jump off a cliff? It's a phenomenal movie, don't get me wrong, but it takes a lot out of me to watch that movie. I'll have to get the book to find out where it fits.

But until I get that book, I have a new HTML book to keep my interest. I can code the basics, but my knowledge stopped expanding before XML and XHTML. Now I'm learning that plus how to work with CSS.

Plus I'm teaching myself to type Dvorak-style. Busy beavers have nothing on me.
