i am speaking to Aaron, my lawyer, on th telephone when something strange happens. It is 2:00 in th a.m. my time, 11:00 in th p.m. his time. We are talking about causality as applied to mental illness: etiology. I am saying, "Who can say? I had a bad month, that's all. I got on Wikipedia for two days straight. I don't know why. I don't want it to happen again."
He is saying, "As your attorney, I am here to advise, not to judge. In my opinion, there is causality, but it might not be accessible to the depressed person."
"Oh!" I say, "I don't know if I want to call it that."
Something strange happens then.
