the plague

so i came back to school on sunday, with a little bit of a soar throat. started spring semester on monday. illness progressively got worse, probably just a really bad cold. had an allergic reaction to either echinacea or zinc yesterday. threw up the nothing that was in my system. also yesterday i went to perella, our campus wellness center to try and get better. spent a half hour or so there. and i can understand that i had to tell the doctor the other medications that i'm on, so that they don't prescribe me something that will react with them. but i didn't go there to discuss my chronic problems, the ones that i've been dealing with for years, i went there to get drugs so that i wouldn't be sick any more and that i wouldn't miss more class than i already have (first week of classes and i've missed four classes so far). but instead, the doctor and i spent about five minutes on my cold and the rest of the time on depression, counseling, pregnancy, stds, obsessive compulsive disorder, my allergy to penecillin that i don't have, and about fourty other things that have nothing to do with a cold. then he prescribed me albuterol. to those of you who don't know what this is, its an asthma inhaler. now how is an asthma inhaler supposed to make a cold go away? i must have missed that part in the past six years while i've had asthma. and so, i'm going home, so i can see a real doctor, who might give me, oh, i dunno, cold medicine or something.
