my brother just turned 18. This is the conversation we had the other day:
Cory: "You know how mom said she was gunna tell me how she always knew everything we ever did when we were kids?"
Me: "Yeah. I'm almost afraid to know. Did she have a camera in our rooms?"
Cory: "Nope. She went in her room and listened to all of our phone conversations on dad's police scanner."
[At this point I am shaking with pure unadulterared wrath.]
Me: "What the fuck? Are you fucking serious? That is the most twisted, fucked up thing I've ever heard anyone do, and it's our mother that did it!"
Cory: "Remember when she bought us those cordless phones when we were kids? It was because she could pick up those signals on dad's scanner. That's how she knew everything."
[At this point, I can hear my parents laughing in the background, because they think it's FUNNY]
