I hardly ever post in here unless its for rave entries, soooo here's a nice update:
So my computer got a virus that screwed up it's bios pretty bad.
I managed to recover all the files I left on my harddrive, and as a safety measure I formatted my harddrive and installed Windows XP instead of Vista...which is freakin GREAT beacause VISTA IS THE WORST OS EVER!!!!
I'm still working on the bios issue, if my strategies don't seem to fix it I'm just going to get a new motherboard.
Sooo...I've been using my "NEED PERIFS!" laptop for the last couple days while I fix it. That laptop is more like a desktop in the sense it needs everything: A monitor, mouse, keyboard, and harddrive! to work haha.
One of the little joys in this is my old laptop has the old game STARCRAFT on it so I get to play that sometime this weekend :D
Work is about to get less boring because they are finally training me over at the seas in hopes of having a permanent duty there yay! (The Living Seas at Epcot is hella more interesting than anything Animal Kingdom has to offer)
I started classes at UCF for the fall term this last Monday. I'm not taking too many, but so far I like em and this is helping activate my GI Bill and other school-money income so it's just like being at UNLV again where I don't have to pay for anything :D
I decided to take up a new hobby. This new hobby only one other person I know does it out here, and he not only volunteered to help me learn, but was extremely enthusiastic I was willing to learn and wants to do routines with me! I can't wait till I get good and show you guys the videos!
I'm definitely 100% going to the Love Parade. I have my tickets for the afterparty and even the plane tickets. Sara is a freakin lifesaver because she is letting me stay with her in her hotel, aaaand so all that's left now is the making of a shirt for the party and to GO!!! The best news is it's not going to cost as much as I expected so I will most likely have enough money to keep up with my "I haven't missed once since I started going to em" Monster Massive annual ordeal. I started going to Monster Massive in 2005, then I went in 2006 and 2007...I need to go this year and then next year and that will be the first massive I've hit 5 times in a row!
Ultra tickets will probably start going on sale again in about a month or so like they did last year, which means for me I need to start building up a more simple plan with a few dedicated raver buddies of mine. Last year, I went with too large of a Florida group, and although it was fun we decided on getting a freakin HOUSE IN MIAMI and throw a neverending 5 day party there. Again, fun, but it inconvenienced those who were actually going to Ultra. We were late getting there both days aaand we paid out our asses in parking because of all the times we left Miami to hit up South Beach and see my Vegas friends that came down. Not to mention the traffic trying to get to and from the house was atrocious. It wasn't a big deal to alot of the kids in the house because they were there just for a few WMC events and to have fun in Miami, so they didn't have to deal with all that bullshit we did. Soooo this year we just need to simply, grab a handful of raver kids, and get a hotel on South Beach so we can freakin WALK to Ultra and be on the beach without driving anywhere unless it's to either meet up with more Florida kids (they'll prolly get a house again) or to hit up some of the WMC events.
Oh and my parents are going to Ultra too, so I kinda wanna rave with them sometime that week yaknow? Not everyone gets to say their parents are going to the biggest rave on the East Coast.
Veruca, the Cougar Hookah, has been officially retired as of the beginning of this month. I used it from January to August, through many MANY MANY MAAAAANY house parties and even taking it to alot of raves such as "The Island Of Boom" so it finally lost it's seal. The screws are corroded and stripped, so air now gets in through that. Also, the metal on some of the areas of the pipe itself are heat-warped, so that too is letting in air. It's sad, but what that means is now it's time for an even TALLER Hookah! I'm going to be getting either a 33 inch or a 35 inch hookah sometime within the next few weeks or so. I'm kinda following the trend that alot of my ravers friends are doing (they have 32 inch hookahs) and going with a hookah that has a very little amount of design on it, but the fact that these much much taller hookahs (Veruca was 22 inches) are ridiculously cheap (80 bucks as opposed to Veruca who cost me about 150) I'm going to sacrifice uniqueness for price. Not to mention I don't really want one that lights up anymore (The Pope) or one with a design on it (Veruca) because with uniqueness comes more problems. The Pope always had issues where the light would short out or the batteries would die and I'd have to keep taking apart the pipe to fix the light, and Veruca's Cougar was curved, so she'd constantly get clogged up in the pipe and that's why she corroded easy from all the cleaning of the clogs I had to do. I might do something to this new one to make it look more different than everyone else's, but it's nice to have a virtually maintenance free Hookah.
I'm starting my workout again within the next few days. That should give me alot of energy as well as make me look better too.
I'm also going to spend alot of free time practicing my new hobby and also spinning records. This should help save money for credit debt reduction aaand hopefully get myself up to speed to DJ in time for Ron's house to start throwing his bangin club idea. Not to mention it gives me something to do while my girlfriend is at work cuz she now works in the afternoons right after I wake up and doesn't come home until I'm already at work :(
I look forward to the weekends now.
