(no subject)
My Dad is so adorable. I got this text from him today: "You are NOT going to believe THIS!!!! I just left Wal-Mart. 12 oz bags of Nestle's choc chips are $1." I'm still loling xD Idk if it's the caps or the four exclamation points or how his excitement seems to fizzle out towards the end? lol
And when I hung out with him on MASSEFFECTMONDAY (because that's how I will forever remember the first day of E3) he was like, "DID YOU KNOW THE SCIENCE CHANNEL IS PLAYING FIREFLY?!" lol and I said yes and he said "DID YOU KNOW THEY ARE NEW EPISODES?!" ...And I felt so bad because I was about to break his heart, because well, you know. They're not. So I told him. I think he got pretty depressed. Yeah, Dad. That's how we all feel. "..But it said that next week was a new episode!" :C Maybe I should have just lied to him. Like I said, I felt really bad for crushing his dreams. I probably ruined his day. Okay, well, Fox and misleading info from the Science Channel ruined his day.
And then later he asked about Simon & Kaylee's relationship and he just called them "doctor" and "mechanic" x3
Idk, I found all of this incredibly amusing.
In... other news. I made cupcakes yesterday! Well, I really made them over the weekend, but they were for yesterday. It was some guys birthday at my mom's work, and now I guess I'm the unofficial baking bitch or something. Not that I mind. They were standard yellow cake/vanilla frosting because the guy was new and they didn't know what he liked. I used the America's Test Kitchen recipes, and I would link you to them but you have to sign up to view them (WTF IS THIS SHIT). Anyway! They were incredible.
I didn't have enough powdered sugar for the vanilla frosting, so I had to make a seven minute one, so those were just okay. But the ones with the real frosting were like, birthday cake heaven. They were so good. There's another birthday coming up in July that they want me to make a cake for... so I think I'm using this. Because it is the best, most classic birthday cake. OM NOM
I really want to make some kind of Mass Effect cake, but idk what to do. Someone already made a Normandy, and that is way too complicated for me.
I also have a picture that I was going to share that I'm... pretty ashamed of, lol. But I'm too tired now, so you'll have to wait x) I found it in a box of stuff from 5-ish years ago when I was super into LotR. It's a craft project. One of the lamer LotR things I've done (I made a Minas Tirith sand castle once! That was pretty awesome.) And that is all I will say.
