The TARDIS materialized over the rift yet again, and The Doctor peaked out before stepping into the chilly night. He looked around and scratched the back of his head, intent to do one of about three million things.
He could go find a gift for Rose, newly back in her original dimension. It was Christmas time after all, and he wanted her to feel at home again with him.
He could go find Jack and relay the good news, drag the Captain into the TARDIS for a happy reunion.
Or he could go find himself some more of those lovely chips he'd had earlier, and actually enjoy them instead of feeling completely irritated at life, the universe, and everything.
Oh! And he could bring some back for Rose when she woke up.
The bounce to his step that had been missing for over a year was suddenly back as he wandered off, hands in pockets, whistling to himself.
