(sitting on the rocks, this was becoming a favorite spot for Malana to write entries into her journal, still a bit tired from last night not having gotten much sleep after the boars visit to the camp)

Entry 4

Wild boars entered the camp last night, I suppose what awaited them inside the fuselage was something too tempting to pass up. It was not the wild animals that woke people in the camp up, it was the insistent barking by Vincent who knew before anyone else that something was in the encampment that was not supposed to be here.
Thanks to Sawyer the boars charged from the fuselage after he shone his flashlight directly into the part of the plane that sits on the beach and on the creatures.
We all were in for a surprise this morning. It appears Locke has a trunk of knifes he brought with him on the plane and now plans on going into the jungle on a wild boar hunt. Michael and Kate are going to accompany him, Kate going with more so to try and see if the receiver Sayid gave her, which now has more power, will work more effectively then to hunt boars. I have decided to go with them also, just what a twenty-eight year old photographer should be doing. Each of us, Kate, Michael and myself were given a knife by Locke. I truly think he is aching to get into the jungle, find the boars and bring one of them down.

I am entrusting this journal to Sayid, just a precaution for if I or we do not return from the hunt. He reluctantly agreed to make a final entry if I did not return, there is more out there then wild boars and polar bears, Sayid told me about the bear when they went to try and get a signal with the receiver. I would have asked Claire, but for some reason I decided against it she and Sayid are the two here I think I am closest to though it has only been four days since the crash stranded us here, one can usual sense whom they can and cannot trust.

If....when I return whether we come back with a kill or not I plan on going fishing with the spear I made. I think I got the tip pointy enough to catch something with.
