(no subject)
OK so finals are finally over [lame pun intended.]. Hell yes.
Yesterday:
Went to math final. forgot to bring my book. exactly like last year.. but at least the 'dish would let me still take it. went home right afterwards and brought my book back.
then waited around for mark to go quit his job. but not really.
then.. kevin kasts cookout thing. that was a good time. kevin is a good host.
appearantly i dont suck much at volleyball. always good
ok so mark and i left at 2ish, to go meet alex at the train station to go to providence.
2:15 train, did not show up. 2:25 train, did not show up. 2:47 train did, wasnt going to providence, and they said the next train was at 4:30. fuck that.
so we all got in alexs car. drove to providence. i think we got lost, i dont know. i fell asleep.
so we get to providence. we finally find the WBRU Free Summer Concert Series. niice.
a bunch of people in this one field for a free concert, and free Dunkin Donuts Iced Lattes. very chill.
three bands were playing, The Lingo, The Living End, and New Found Glory.
ran into robby. who was with people, including my lovely ex anna. coolness
but first. ya know on the radio youll hear these ads about people rapping about cigarettes? well yeah. that company was there. and they brought their rappers. and they rapped about cigarettes to a rock crowd of mostly smokers. that did not work out well. haa.
ok so The Lingo goes on. the crowd is pissed because of the rappers, so it was hard for them to get a response. the guy on keyboards was really good. but the band itself just.. wasnt.
right about now is when i got kicked out. the security there are bitches. that guy touched me way too much when leading me out. i know it was to stop me from running, but still.
"you are not welcome here anyone. if you come back, the police are gonna take you away in that van. get out of here, take a walk. fuckin punk."
i loved the punk comment. sinced i was dressed in blue jeans and an adidas shirt.
so went into providence place, got a lemonade coolatta, which was orgasmic.
then back into the concert. i went in to like the back of the field, where no one really was. started playing hackysack with people. talked with another kid who got kicked out. he was staying out though. he had a warrant for receiving stolen goods, cause he had a stolen car. interesting story.
so then i go back. find mark and alex. then wander off. do more stupid things. probably shouldnt have crowd surfed at all if i was trying to stay away from security seeing me. whatever.
new found glory kicked ass. they had soo much control over the crowd. during the last few songs, the crowd was like a riot.
then the 45 minute wait to get out of the parking lot.
then back to Sharizzle.
then back to Kevins house. card games. then home.
good way to kick off the summer.
