Seems to be the overall favorite. Maybe the show is purposedly playing with us with Hurley wearing a red shirt throughout this season --instead of being killed off, he becomes Jacob's replacement and outlives them all?
lol MIB would HATE having to be on an island forever with Hurley, I think
Frankly Hurley's innocence is his best feature and saving grace, but he's not the intellectual Jacob is, not much for the MIB to converse with. I maybe should revise that to say that Hurley just doesn't share the same references MIB does, and Jacob did, due to his different life. That makes himn less of a conversational challenge.
someone over at io9.com proposed that Hurley would make a better Richard rather than Jacob since he has the talent of seeing past people's facades and simply stating things exactly how they are. Hurley, they believed, would be established as the next "Prophet" (Richard as a "prophet" of Jacob but now in this case, Hurley as a "prophet" of one of the candidates) as a type of go between... I thought that was really interesting...
This past episode and the scene with Hurley, Richard, and Richard's wife was perhaps foreshadowing?
