I was reading a book my aunt gave me. It was a self-help, psychological book about positive energy. Anyway, there was a side story the author (a Dr.) put into the book, about a guy she knew. He was going to set up an old age home, called "Dharma...(something)." The old age home would let older people meditate and focus on their energy, etc. She went on to explain that "Dharma means 'the truth of the way things are', which supposedly could be found when meditating.
Now, this part includes my own, personal speculations.
Well, if you were attempting to find 'the truth of the way things are,' what would you do? Experiment scientifically, of course! Let's think about the name of the organization which is on the island. "The Dharma Initiative." It could, since it was an 'initiative', be the first kind of attempt to find out 'the truth of the way things are', which would make sense because it was started a while ago, in the 70s. But what makes this a special initiative? Maybe because it's on such a grand scale. I believe the entire island is used for experimenting, different parts for different things. Water for sharks, jungle for polar bears (lol), underground in the center of the island for electromagnetism.
What do you think about Dharma?
