Attn Lost Fans in NJ and film fans from all over!

Hi,

My name is Jeff. I'm 22. I'm a film major at William Paterson University.
I've lurked here for some time.

This is one of the most active boards about LOST, so I thought I would come here for help.

We have a long way to go until next season. Though the entire summer is supposed to be filled with the Lost ARG, who knows what sort of new information we will get from that.

So, here's my idea. I'm going to make a short film based in the Lost universe over the summer.

I know Lost is a very close knit show, and I understand that the writers don't want any new "answers" to explain any of the mysteries they already have in place.

So, my idea was to have the short NOT take place on the island. It would be about one of the survivor's relatives. And how the crash of Flight 815 changed THEIR life.

Sure, some of you may cry foul. "Off the island, that's blasphemous!" "You'll ruin the mythos!" Things along those lines. However, I plan on staying 100% faithful to the subject matter and not messing anything up that has been already established.

For qualifications, yes, I am a film student. I'm 22. I've been making short movies since I was 12. Sure, not all of my films are good. Some suck. Others are amazing. I've won a few awards. I'm the president of the Student Film Association at William Paterson. I have a background in Film & TV Production. I have access to high end camera equipment. This stuff is my life. I live, breathe, and sleep making movies.

So, the main purpose of this post is to ask for help. I want people who truly love this show to help me shape it into form. Are you an actor? Great! Like set design? Fantastic! Want to be crew? Awesome!

Being as how I live in New Jersey, people who would like to act and be on the crew and so on would have to live here or be willing to travel. Also, being as how this is a "fan film" per se, no one will be making any money on it, so I'm sorry, but I can't compensate you for anything you may contribute.

I would seriously love true, die hard fans of the show to help me on this.
I've already written a script, first draft of course, that will go through a few rewrites. But I believe what I wrote is a strong story, and truly fits into the Lost mythos. It doesn't mess up what is already there, but it truly supplements it.

So, if you are interested in helping, hearing more, or just want to bitch me out, PLEASE e-mail me at jeff@bamferproductions.com

You can post back here too, of course, since I'm always lurking around here.

So...yea. That's about it for now. I hope some of you would like to help in this.!

- Jeff
