Small thing

Nov 10, 2016 20:19

In the interests of keeping cheerful, I would have liked to do a writing meme, but since I am still working on the Yuletide fic that won't lie down and die, that must wait. However, there is another sort of small, nice thing I can provide - icons ( Read more... )

icons, fannish nonsense

Is this Fourth Doctor happy enough for you?

Your request made me screencap at least a bit of Masque of Mandragora, so I couldn't resist doing a few more for you & I hope they're suitably cheerful!

Oh, look at all the pretty, happy icons! Thank you so much!

I don't have much icon space on LJ, but I have tons of space on my laptop, and I enjoy looking at my icons there even when I don't have them in my LJ "rotation." But I've already created space for this one in preparation for fic_rush this weekend. : )

Aw, cool! I couldn't resist Four writing with a grin on his face; it's just a shame that when it switches to front the quill isn't quite as obvious as it is in the side ones. :-)

(I'll have a go at the other pic - well done for finding it!)

Actually, if it's not too late, I think this one's better -- nicer shot of Lis: http://orig06.deviantart.net/22e5/f/2012/354/4/1/doctor_who_cast_for_stolen_earth_by_linkofskyloft17-d5olj15.png

(It's amazing how easy it is to find these now that I know what I'm looking for!)

Haha, you're on a roll. It's not too late! I am amused, though, as I saved the first one to my pc earlier this morning & then saw this, thought, "Oh, yes, Skyler is right, def. a better pic," saved that one... and then could not tell the difference between them in my pictures folder! Or which was which. I had to delete them both & shall now only save the right one at the moment of making, just in case you produce an even better one ;-).

LOL, it will probably be even harder to tell the difference when they're shrunk down to icon size. I did poke around a little more, but I don't think there's anything better, unless someone has a gallery of screencaps from that Confidential out there somewhere.

Thanks again so much for doing this, and for the other icons!

Wait, someone DOES have a gallery of screencaps from that Confidential! Look!

THIS IS THE PHOTO I HAVE! Except in much higher quality!

LOL! I feel as if no icon can now live up to this dedicated research, but I have at least produced something a little clearer than the other:

I feel I have been this crazy, demanding person -- "this one! no wait, this one! no, this!" -- but you have NO IDEA how thrilled I am right now to have this icon. Seriously, I kept this horrible, fuzzy photo on my laptop because I loved it, and now I have this wonderful gift. Thank you so much.

No, not at all! I've been impressed by your internet searching! I'd only have been annoyed if you'd expected me to keep looking. And as a bonus you now have a better original pic for your lap top too!

:-)

Well, you gave me the push. See, I never really considered how icons are made, but I thought you basically wave a magic photoshop wand over an image and get it to come out. When you said you'd tried Google for a clearer photo, I thought, "Hey, I suck at making images, but I can use Google!" So that sent me on the quest. :)
