Found, one meme entry...

Dec 14, 2014 17:54

I started this ages ago & then found it again just now, and have finished it off & here it is! (I think I'd done it because I only semi-did this meme last time, and then everyone else did it properly and I thought I should too. Looking at the results, obviously I was right.)

The characters are:
Frank Marker (Public Eye)
Cora Mills (OUaT)
G'Kar (Babylon 5)
Twelfth Doctor
Ace (DW)
Steel (Sapphire & Steel)
Miss Marple
Liz Shaw (DW)
Henry VII (Shadow of the Tower/Hist. RPF)
Cally (B7)
Silver (S&S)
Belle (OUaT)

8 [Liz Shaw] and 4 [Twelfth Doctor] get stuck in a lift. What happens?

I'm sure the Doctor'll get them out, especially with Liz and her scientific know-how and common sense. Whatever fic this is happening in, though, I'd like to read it.

Randomise a song by your preferred means (shuffle your iPod/MP3 player/iTunes/the internet). Pick out the line that best fits 2 [Cora Mills]?

I got "All Sparks" by The Editors... and hmm... Perhaps Well be careful Angel, this life is just too long

What would be your plot device of choice for a fic involving 11 [Silver] and 6 [Steel]?

They get assigned. I don't know about plot device but as long as they can bicker and flirt (Silver. mostly) and work together and glare at each other (Steel), that's all fine by me.

Rec a fanwork about 12 [Belle]?

I haven't read many Belle fics, but AstroGirl wrote an awesome remix of my Belle/Rumple drabble about Belle learning to adjust to life in the Dark Castle:

Perilous Things (The Bright Spots and Dark Corners Remix) (2088 words) by AstroGirl
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Once Upon a Time (TV)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Belle/Rumplestiltskin | Mr. Gold
Characters: Belle (Once Upon a Time), Rumplestiltskin | Mr. Gold
Additional Tags: Remix
Summary:
Rumplestiltskin's castle is full of dangerous things.

Where would 9 [Henry VII] take 5 [Ace] on a date?

Ha, this is one of those cracky things, that actually becomes perfectly logical when you think about it: this happens back in Brittany when he was a young exile and naturally Ace helps him out with a bit of nitro against somebody who's trying to kill him & either (this being Ace), that is the date, or they have a meal in an inn afterwards or something. Ace's history not being her strong point, it'd be quite a while before she realised who the Earl of Richmond actually was. If she twigs at any point, that's maybe when the date starts to go downhill.

2 [Cora Mills] and 4 [Twelfth Doctor] are now buddy cops. Do they make a good team, and is this bad or good news for nearby criminals?

I don't think this would be good news for anybody. They would make a gloriously terrible team, and I would pay good money to watch them. But, yeah, probably not much conventional police work going on there. Everybody should be scared.

Make up a summary for an apocalyptic fic featuring 5 [Ace] and 10 [Cally]

Ah, the apocalypse is doomed again.

If 3 [G'Kar] and 7 [Miss Marple] were a couple, how would they meet and would it work out?

Well, if Miss Marple exists in all time zones, then presumably she pays a visit to Babylon 5 when her nephew thinks she's getting a little too earthbound & needs cheering up, and in the process of solving a mystery, she impresses G'Kar. I don't think it'd work out, but they'd probably enjoy the meeting. Well, unless it's early G'Kar, in which case, she works out what he's been up to this week.

1 [Frank Marker], 10 [Cally] and 8 [Liz Shaw] go on an epic road trip. Where are they going, who drives, and who gets left behind at the first stop?

They're going to try and meet up with the Doctor and the Brigadier - Cally is needed to help save the world. Liz drives, and Frank gets left behind at the first stop because he's not getting involved with some dodgy top secret organisation, thanks. Also he wanted tea and a biscuit and the other two seemed to be in a hurry.

In a coffee shop type AU with 9 [Henry VII] and 4 [Twelfth Doctor], what would their establishment be called?

The Blue Rose? In any case, I don't think what it's called is going to be the issue; they'd better just hope they've got good staff. Henry would be great at management and book-keeping and keeping up with council by-laws and things, but Doctor's strong point is not running coffee shops. Especially not in this incarnation. I'm not convinced matters would be much improved even if they had Clara and Elizabeth of York to help them.

It's a terrible coffee shop and would have closed down months ago if Henry wasn't just that bit too good at the accounts.

What would the title be for a romance novel/film featuring 7 [Miss Marple] and 12 [Belle]?

Bodies in the Library? (Sorry.)

If forced to choose, would you rather have an evening out with 1 [Frank Marker] or 11 [Silver]?

Oh, meme, that's cruel. Silver would be a lot more fun, but you'd have to wonder what he was actually up to and if you were going to die horribly/have never existed/have your jewelry swiped before the end of the evening. You would be safe with Frank, and he'd listen to your woes (even if he's most likely to say, "Ah, well, that's life." at the end), but the best you can hope for is a cheap seat at the theatre, and more likely just a trip down the pub. In 1970s Britain. I think I'll live dangerously and have an evening out with Silver. And then no doubt regret it later and wish I'd gone with Frank.

What's your favourite pairing (romantic or otherwise) for 3 [G'Kar]?

Londo!

Write a snippet from a 8 [Liz Shaw], 9 [Henry VII] and 3 [G'Kar] pirate AU. ('Snippet' here meaning 'as brief as you like'.)

I can't write anything; I keep just laughing too much and I'm not sure whether this is the worst pirate crew ever or the best. I think possibly they have too many leaders and conflicting aims. Liz probably wants to do Science, G'Kar would probably enjoy being a sort of Robin Hood style pirate, and Henry VII would keep wanting them to get back to finding the buried treasure and working out how much it cost each time they got into a skirmish. But it would be awesome and I wish I could write a snippet. (Who wrote these impossible questions?? Oh, yes, right: me. What was I thinking?)

11 [Silver], 1 [Frank Marker], 12 [Belle] and 5 [Ace] are on a talent show. Who wins?

Who wins is something we'll never know (though Silver was ahead at the time), because Ace's act was a little more explosive than she planned and everybody is now more concerned with putting the building back together again. Frank wasn't even trying, and Belle was probably relieved at being let off.

Aliens try to make 2 [Cora Mills], 6 [Steel] and 12 [Belle] do it. Do they have any luck?

These aliens really have no sense. They repeatedly pick all the worst people. Cora, Steel, and Belle? Nope, no. The only hope the aliens have of still existing afterwards is if Belle can intervene on their behalf. (She might also kindly introduce them to some alternate means of human sex ed, like books, films, and the internet.)

What might 1 [Frank Marker] say to compliment 5 [Ace]?

He's not much of a one for compliments, and he wouldn't approve of blowing things up, while Ace isn't really likely to make him a cup of tea. Hmm... "Nice badges."

What would 10 [Cally] hate most about 2 [Cora Mills]? And what would 9 [Henry VII] love most about 10 [Cally]?

Well, Cally would not approve of Cora being evil, and Henry VII would like Cally's more thoughtful aspects - as long as she didn't see him as a tyrant who needs removing. Which she might, really.

If you had to write a crossover involving 6 [Steel] and 4 [Twelfth Doctor], how would it go and/or what would the crossover fandom be?

Well, that would be one fic that got out of bed the wrong side, wouldn't it?

Go here to generate a random poem. The second line is now the title of a fic about 11 [Silver] and 7 [Miss Marple]. What's the plot?

More Sparine for Pelides

I don't even know what that means, but it's a murder mystery involving weird time anomalies.

If 3 [G'Kar] and 9 [Henry VII] decided to get together and pull off a jewel heist, how would that go?

Um. Well, that's got to be an unlikely team for a jewel heist. There would have to be a good reason, and... frankly, I don't think it would go well, not if it's the classic kind of jewel heist. Henry doesn't know about modern alarms and things, and also he would be more inclined to work out an obscure clause in some document that meant that actually he owned the jewels and could they hand them over now before he has somebody imprisoned for defaulting on their taxes. Whereas G'kar's idea of being stealthy does include thinking people won't see him if he stands behind a pot plant. However, when security rushes in to stop them, that'll be a life choice they soon regret.

7 [Miss Marple] has got to save the world from 8 [Liz Shaw]. Is the world saved or doomed?

Miss Marple is the most awesome, so yes, the world is saved. I don't know what sort of experiments Liz has been running lately, though, but presumably she's discovered some sort of comic book personality-altering substance, maybe involving evil super-powers. But, still, Miss Marple can deal with anything.
