Aw, that is so cool. It just goes to disprove all the people who say no modern children would ever look twice at things like that - it isn't true. It just depends on the child, and if there's an interest. (Pfft to those people). And you're not a dork, you're giving your children a marvellous hero and wonderful bunch of imaginative stories to play with in their minds - that's a lovely thing to share with them! ♥

And, aww, well, Daleks are Daleks aren't they? And The Aztecs is very good. If you had to pin me down and make me choose a favourite Hartnell, that would probably be mine.

'I really have no fav...can we watch more Doctor Who now?' *CACKLES*

ETA: once, a few years ago, I was in a big video shop, looking at things, and a mother and her child were closely looking at the DWs and the mother stopped and said, all embarrassed, "He loves Doctor Who, but he'll only watch Colin Baker!" And so I helped show her which were the Sixth Doctor stories (she was hoping for a box set), and went off very happy, because that just made my month that there was some ten year old who was just not interested in David Tennant, because Six was his Doctor and that was that! :-D

Well, I'd never thought I'd watch old DW without cringing in embarrassment, but it is just like when I was a kid. I don't really NOTICE the oddities or poor costuming. I'm too wrapped in the story...which is sheer DW for you. Ronin occasionally comments on the 'toys' (when they are doing 'far-away' shots), but I generally shush him and encourage him to watch the story (which he inevitably gets wrapped up in anyway, lol). So yes, the fallacy of that thinking is in error. I think we give children too little credit in many areas. This is one of them.

They really love their Doctor. And the Doctor has been in Star Wars, Marvel Universe and in a few other genres when they play. He gets around, the Doctor does. *Beams*

Awww...that is so damned marvelous!! I rather love Six. And I can see the appeal to a small one. Refreshingly rude, out-spoken, brash, arrogant and prickly (with that wild coat)! What's not to love? I heartily approve of his choice. *CACKLES* Darn it I need a Six icon...

OMG! That sounds so much like this one kid I see at cons, he gets so hyper over Colin it's adorable.
