I was I think going for the sense that (as Silver says) they were somewhere, but they weren't real so the place looked like grey and unreal to them (and to someone in the place they would have been ghosts). But it's S&S so you can just leave it up in the air and not explain. :-)

As for Silver, there may be, there's no telling, but it was Steel POV and basically I think the main trouble for Silver is that he picks up on and knows stuff (as he does) and that he really doesn't like any of the options they have here - and he doesn't like that which one happens to them is going to be up to Steel. But you can't do more than hint at that from Steel POV in a short scene. And Silver's very elusive, it's hard to be sure...

Thank you for reading! :-)

Ooh, I really like this. You capture the spirit of this show so well. You really do. :)

Aww. Thank you! *blushes*

I was just thinking as I've been wirting these that S&S is so great for just weird, inexplicable scenes that you really couldn't quite do anywhere else. Odd POVs, weird things. Even in DW, you'd have to have some sort of explanation...

Yes, and in S&S, a good explanation is positively counter-indicated. :)

The monochrome garden made me think of Warriors' Gate :-)

I haven't watchted Warrior's Gate yet. :-)

(Although - that reminds me, I have quite a few DW DVDs that I was given in the period while I couldn't watch things - I have the E-Space trilogy! Ooo.)
