I found this writing meme I did once before and thought it was a funny sort of day, and just the time to try again. And I did it! \o/

1: Pick five fandoms. List them in alphabetical order. (ETA: Whoops.)

2. Sapphire & Steel
3. Doctor Who
4. Press Gang
5. Angel

2: Visit this site to find your first RANDOM POEM OF POWER. Write down ( Read more... )

These are pretty awesome! I'm half-tempted to do this myself, although the possibilities make me somewhat nervous. :)

Thanks! And, do! I'm sure they'd be great - and anyway, what are LJ memes for if not for adapting as wished? (I'm pretty sure I cheated last time, because I got a line of a poem about mackerel and I refused to use it. No meme police came after me... ;-D)

ETA: Also, whoops, apparently I should re-read instructions, because I missed all the alphabetical stuff. *sheepish*

Well, the meme police are surely on their way now. ;)

I may do it later, when I get tired of doing housework and stuff.

Aaaand, I just generated some lines which turned out to be eerily appropriate for the fandoms in question, no cheating required. So, of course, now I have to write them. :)

Also, the meme police came, but I hid, and they went away again. I think I'm okay.

I see a great need for a "Meme Police - you're busted!" icon. Pity I don't have any slots left to put it in...

I did this one a while ago, obeying only as much of the strictures as suited me. (Specifically, I picked which line to put with which fandom, and let the fics be as long as they needed to be.) I ended up with five really nice ficlets!

Yes, it's a meme you could easily adapt a few ways. But I like the 50 words nature of it as a writing exercise, and just to see what you actually can say in that limit.

But poetry prompts - I like them. :-)
