Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

Memed from persiflage_1, who gave me Sapphire & Steel, Doctor Who and Dungeons & Dragons.

Sapphire & Steel:
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?

I think most people round here have gathered that I was curious about what other stuff David Collings had been in. Sapphire & Steel was the usual answer to that question, and I'd also read some DW crossovers with it that had impressed and intrigued me. And justice_turtle kept assuring me I would like it/intriguing me even more.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

It's new, so it's hard to say. But once I get very fannish about something, it tends to stick. It may go away, but it'd probably come back. But it is new. I may move on; it's always possible.

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?

 But there's so little of it! Okay:
Favourite episode is hard. There's only six. I like them all. But two is probably the best and three probably my favourite, because of Silver. With Six next. Because of Silver.

Of the audios I've listened to (which is only 4), probably All Fall Down so far. Although also Zero. Because of Silver.

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

Nope. Haven't mentioned it all online lately. You all know that. *whistles*

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

Yes. Just not enough to make it implode in ship wars or all those things it doesn't have. It's old and cheap, but wonderfully weird and unlike anything else, if you're prepared to go with it - and the fic is, by and large, amazing.

Doctor Who
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?

When I was 11, my friend kept going on about how brilliant DW was. Since I had secretly been interested in watching it for a while, I took the daring step of watching something NO ONE ELSE in my family watched (look, back in the days of one TV in the front room, that was bold and daring indeed), I loved it. I saw the last five minutes of The Happiness Patrol, and then all of Silver Nemesis, and The Greatest Show in the Galaxy and knew there had never been any show so marvellous, ever. I've never changed my mind. DW trumps everything in some way, at least once during its epic run. Then I discovered Doctor Who Magazine during the long years of the 90s - and the first thing I did after being introduced to the internet and newsgroups while at uni was to join alt.drwho.creative and write stuff. DW got me to Teaspoon, to LJ, to any sort of active fandom, really.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

You can move on from DW? That's an option? Nothing's moved me away from it in more years than I care to mention.

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?

This is DW we're talking about. You'd better have my short answers only:

Episodes: Robots of Death, and Ghostlight.
Books: Alien Bodies, Human Nature.
Audios: The Chimes of Midnight
Movies: The TV Movie. (I like it better than the Dalek movies, and that's the only competition, isn't it? It is, after all, very pretty.)

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

YES.

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

Well, it's pretty big as fandoms go, but yes, why not? It's the best TV show there is. And more people should take the leap back into Classic Who - I know eps are hard to get hold of it, but for those who can find them, it's fun. The more you know of it, the more enjoyable and interesting it is.

Dungeons & Dragons (the cartoon)
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?

I watched (& adored) it when I was about 6. And then when I was about 13/14 and discovered that it was even better than I remembered, and so I tried to write transcripts of my favourite episode, and fanfiction in my diary and notebooks.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

Well, I'm not hugely active in it, but every so often I have to watch it/read fic, and it's been even more years than since I started watching DW, so a cure seems unlikely at this late date.

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?

The Dragon's Graveyard. Although I really like The Traitor, The Last Illusion & Child of the Stargazer among others.

I also had an annual, that was the only source of D&D I had for about 15 years. I don't think it was especially good, although unlike some annuals, it definitely had the proper characterisation.

(Since people don't know this fandom so well, The Dragon's Graveyard is, in a nutshell, why this 80s cartoon is the best of the lot - well, I think so! Our heroes get so fed up with the villain stopping them from getting home that they decide the only way out is to kill him. When it comes to having moral issues in cartoons, this is the shining show-not-tell example. Unfortunately, it brought them to the notice of the network and they got into trouble and eventually cancelled.)

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

I've written a fanfic. I've read quite a few others. I'm not massively active, but then it's a small fandom. I requested it for Yuletide, too.

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

Yes. Someone on my flist should and then I can talk about it without getting silence and pitying looks and things. I know, it's a cartoon. An 80s cartoon. But fun. I actually watched Buffy because I saw a short clip - and it reminded me of Dungeons & Dragons.
