A little bit of cheer

I'm not taking part in any way, but I've been keeping an eye on festivids, which is like yuletide for fanvids. (So 'rare' fandoms only). It went live today and I've had a little play with their masterlist and seen some lovely things, including 4 very nice Classic Who vids and a Red Dwarf one, but there are over 190, I think, so if you like fanvids at all, you'll ( Read more... )

Yay for fellow person who recognises the awesome that is The Goonies! :-)

And, yes. But, drat, that was one of the things I had on video that hasn't been replaced. I'll have to look out for it someday, for when nostalgia jumps out at me.

Aargh, why did you tell me about festivids! I have things I'm supposed to be doing today, and I just lost an hour to that comm, and I've barely scratched the surface!

But you did just lead me to one of the absolute best Sarah Jane tribute fanvids I have ever ever seen, so thank you!

Um. Sorry? You're welcome? ;-D

It was a really beautiful tribute, wasn't it? Not quite in the same league, but I loved the Nyssa one, too - so amused at how many times Janet and Sarah did the eyeroll-y thing at each other!

I've now spent the better part of an evening going from vid to vid and being very happy. Thank you! (I mean, really - A Dog's Breakfast and the Bionic Woman and Court Jester and...!)

Hee! The Goonies! \o/ Thanks for linking to that and the fanvid comm. I love The Goonies film - it's such a fun film to watch.

And it has a link to The Princess Bride, IIRC. Andre the Giant (Fezzik) is in the music video that Josh Brolin's character is watching near the start.

Cool! Glad you liked it. There are some amazing vids up there. I keep droping back every so often and having a watch of some different ones.

*guilty* I still have never watched or read The Princess Bride. It's one of those things you should have done, though, isn't it?
