It occurred to me part-way through this that while I had excluded Doctor Who (so that it didn't take up all but one of the 30 days) - and DW for me always includes the main lines of audios and novels, as they were each intended as genuine continuations when they started - that there were two DW spin-offs, that would never get a look-in if I had the whole of the show to play with, so...
Day Thirteen: Rani Chandra (Anjli Mohindra)
"I hope the Queen will judge me on my own character just as she might judge you on yours."
I won't say very much here, because I am so sadly behind with The Sarah Jane Adventures (I don't like watching stuff on my pc much; it's a thing, okay...) but replacing original characters is always a tough thing - it doesn't always come off, but Rani's enthusiastic, intelligent, compassionate, and brave (and reminds me very much of a rl teenage girl I know). She wants to be like Sarah Jane when she grows up, and she probably will indeed be every bit as awesome. (And her family could probably carry a spin-off show of their own, too.)
Luke: I'm growing up so I start having nightmares. [sarcastically] Great!
Rani: Yep, and the rest of us get spots. I wouldn't worry about it.

(If you want something a little less bouncy, try this one instead, which is also Rani/Clyde:
Rani Might.)
